If only I’d kept the many tees I collected while in high school and college! At the time I didn’t appreciate these tees for their graphic design value but I now understand the amount of talent it took to create images that have been popular for generations.
Just as with painters, graphic artists use the elements of line, shape, value, texture, color, space and form to create work that is pleasing and effective. They also master the principles of balance, emphasis, variety, harmony, movement, proportion, unity and rhythm. It seems magical when a design works perfectly but in truth, it is the result of pure skill that produces such amazing work!
