We attended several fun events this past weekend.
The day started with a visit to Springdale Farm where Antonelli’s Cheese Shop hosted a pop-up picnic. The actual location wasn’t announced until Saturday morning. It was a lovely day to sit under the oaks, listening to musician singer-songwriter Blake Farha play acoustic guitar and snack on cheese selections provided by the owners of Antonelli’s.
We left there and headed to the Canopy for the First Look event. The recently renovated East Austin warehouse contains artist studios, galleries, creative office spaces and a cafe. Many artists had their doors open for the event, providing a great opportunity to explore the modern space designed by architect Michael Hsu.
Our last stop was the Great Outdoor Nursery. This is a wonderful garden center located on South Congress. They not only have a great plant selection but also have a café and gift shop. It is worth stopping by just to see the huge wind chimes, water features and playful statuary.
We are looking forward to these events this weekend:
